We see the world not as it is, but as we are. We think that the way we see the world is the “truth”; in reality, that’s merely denial and delusion. We also think we see the world the way everyone else does, but that’s another delusion.
We each see the world through the lens of our perception, a lens that has been formed out of our experiences. Just as no two people’s experiences will ever be the same, so no two people’s perceptions will ever be the same. A key step forward in unleashing your potential comes from understanding that the way we see the world doesn’t necessarily reflect the facts.
If you want to change, remember Gandhi’s famous words: “Be the change you want to see.”
